Tigerair Philippines opens Manila to CDO route

Another budget airline is set to offer Manila to CDO (and vice versa) flights. Tigerair Philippines will launch their Manila to Cagayan de Oro and CDO to Manila routes in a few days and Mindanaoan will be there to cover the ceremony.

Tigerair Philippines has formed an alliance with Cebu Pacific Airlines. This is why you can actually book your Tigerair flights via the Cebu Pacific official website. Also, don’t be surprised if you see blue airplane indicators whenever you book flights via the Cebu Pacific website. The blue airplane indicators only mean that those specific flights will be handled by Tigerair.

Just in case you’re wondering, Tigerair uses the NAIA Terminal 4 (this is the old Manila Domestic Airport). Take note of this especially if it will be your first time to ride with Tigerair or land at NAIA Terminal 4. There are NO airport shuttle buses from NAIA 4 to NAIA 3 so plan your trip well especially if you have connecting flights at NAIA 3.

Based on a mock flight booking I did a few minutes ago, the Tigerair Manila to CDO flight will leave at 10 AM while the CDO (Laguindingan Airport) to Manila flight will leave at 12:10 PM.

The presence of Tigerair is truly welcome development for Misamis Oriental, Mindanao. This is also good news for people in Luzon who want quick getaways to this part of Mindanao. Now, it’s easier to go to Dahilayan Adventure Park in Bukidnon, dive and explore the Sunken Cemetery in Camiguin Island, go white water rafting with Great White Water Tours in Cagayan de Oro!
