Mindanao is my native land. This is where I belong, feel secure and am at peace. To be in Mindanao is to feel the embrace of a warm, soft blanket.

Mindanaoan - Blogging the REAL Mindanao!

Traveling from Cagayan de Oro City, Mindanao to Cebu City, Visayas (and vice versa) is now made even better, faster and more comfortable with Trans-Asia Shipping Lines‘ new ship! The MV Trans-Asia 3 has started serving the Cagayan de Oro and Cebu routes and so far, passengers have been highly satisfied. Trans-Asia Shipping Lines bought this new ship from Japan, a passenger-cargo vessel with vehicle deck that can accommodate 707 passengers. The new ship has 2,908.47 gross tonnage and has a good cruising speed of 18 knots. This means that travel between Cagayan de Oro and Cebu will now only be at a mere 9 hours. Definitely good news for money-conscious and time-conscious travelers!

The MV Trans-Asia 3 ship offers comfort and ease even for travelers in the 2nd class non-aircon accommodations section. Where industry standards dictate 2 x 24 x 72 inches of bunk space, MV Trans- Asia 3 offers above industry standard bunk size of 3 x 31 x 78 inches. That’s more body and leg room than you would ever expect!

Individual curtain covers can still be found at the tourist accommodations sections. Meanwhile, cabin rooms are equipped with 26 inch LCD TV screens. Now that’s class!

For those who want to avail of the Presidential suites, here’s great news for you. The MV Trans-Asia 3’s Presidential suites have their own 26 inch LCD TV sets and DVD players. DVD movies can be found in each suite. Telephone showers with heaters can also be found in each Presidential suite’s private bath. Who says you can’t arrive either in Cebu or CDO looking refreshed?

The new Trans Asia Shipping Lines ship also has its own spa, coffee bar with select pastries, cakes and house blend specialty coffee, Starsy Shoppe which offers light meals and the Floating Grill at the lower sundeck level.

With all these great amenities, food and accommodations aboard the new MV Trans-Asia 3, traveling from Cebu to Cagayan de Oro in Mindanao or from CDO to Cebu, the Queen City of the South, will truly be a wonderful experience!

With Trans-Asia, At Home Ka Sa Biyahe!
