Photos: Impasugong Bukidnon giant Kaamulan headdress and statues new tourist spot

    by Mindanaoan Irene. 2 Comments

Early this week, my cousins, some friends and I went to the Dahilayan Adventure Park in Manolo Fortich, Bukidnon. Just in case you still do not know, Dahilayan Adventure Park is home to Asia’s longest dual cable zipline — all 840 meters of it! The Bukidnon zipline adventure park is also 4,500 meters above sea level so the climate there’s pretty cold :)

Anyways, I’ll tell you more about my recent trip to this Bukidnon tourist spot in another post. If you want to see what went down during my first visit to Dahilayan Bukidnon zipline, though, you might want to read THIS.

What I want to share now are some of the photos this Mindanao photographer took during a stopover at the Municipality of Impasugong, Bukidnon. Impasugong is about an hour and a half away from Manolo Fortich. It’s a first class municipality in Bukidnon and is part of Bukidnon’s Second District. Manolo Fortich, on the other hand, where Dahilayan is, is part of the Bukidnon First District.

Check out these photos of the new, much talked about and much visited Impasugong tourist spot! Designed and created by Mindanaoan artist Kublai Millan, these giant Kaamulan headdress and dancers can be found along Sayre Highway. These can be found at the same area where the municipal tourism center is. As expected, there are also giant cowboy statues because, after all, Impasug-ong Bukidnon is dubbed as the “Home Of The Country’s Finest Cowboys:)

And, yes, the Municipality of Impasug-ong Bukidnon was also the location for the Angel Locsin – Piolo Pascual starrer “Love Me Again” (speaking of matinee idol Piolo Pascual, did you know that he had a very special video greeting for me? You can watch that HERE ;) )
