I must admit, I’m kilig to the bones. Although I know by heart every single word Piolo Pascual said in this video greeting that he did (I should because I wrote the words LOL), I still cannot help but feel giddy. Piolo is Piolo! And he has always been very nice to me…so I have nothing but respect and admiration for the man. The last time I spoke to him was when I watched the ASAP show live at ABS-CBN Manila late last year. And I tell you, he really is one charmer! :D

Check out the video greeting he did for his “fellow Bukidnons” (he, along with “Love Me Again – Land Down Under” co-star Angel Locsin, is an adopted child of the Province of Bukidnon) in time for the Kaamulan 2009. Piolo’s looking dapper in that video, don’t you think?

Thank you very much to Miss Mariole and Miss Lulu for granting our request and for making this Piolo Pascual video greeting for Bukidnon possible! Madakel ha salamat! (Thank you very much) My heartfelt thanks also to Miss Joy and Miss Wheng for the assistance.

And of course, my biggest thanks to Piolo Pascual. You made a lot of people very happy with this gesture. Salamat tungkay! Madakel ha salamat! :)

The photos are out! I’d like to share with you some of the photos I took during the grand finals of the Kaamulan Jam 2009 Lock and Load Battle of the Bands which was held last February 28, 2009 at the Capitol Stage, Capitol Grounds, Malaybalay City, Bukidnon.

The finals night was a successful one – hundreds of people came despite the rain and very chilly weather. A total of five bands performed that night (elimination nights were held from Monday to Friday that week and the winning band had the chance to compete in the finals) and the band called “The Jam” nabbed the top prize of P25,000 cash.

By the way, apart from being one of the official photographers of the event, I (well, technically, the agency I own and manage) was also a sponsor and part of the coordinating committee :)

Check out these photos (most of them are still raw/unedited so please bear with me) and please feel free to leave a comment! Thanks :)

Kaamulan Dancers (BukidnonOnline.com)The Province of Bukidnon found in Mindanao, Philippines takes the spotlight in the current issue of the inflight magazine of Cebu Pacific Air, “Smile.” The article about Bukidnon entitled “Tribal Pursuits” centers on the province’s largest annual festival called the Kaamulan Festival. The Kaamulan festival is the annual gathering of Bukidnon’s 7 hill tribes.

For more information and for the complete schedule of activities for this year’s Kaamulan 2009 Festival, check this page.

Going back to the article found in Cebu Pacific’s magazine, I would just like to personally thank the writer, Irwin. I met him last year during the Kaamulan Festival 2008 celebration in Bukidnon. He was very pleasant and friendly. Salamat, Irwin! Thanks for mentioning Bukidnon Online, too ;)   The article is really great and I’m sure it’ll help boost tourism efforts for the Province of Bukidnon. Cheers!

How would you like to bag P25,000.00 cash? If your band has no recording contract yet or has not released any commercial CDs, then the KAAMULAN JAM 2009 “LOCK AND LOAD Battle of the Bands” might just be the exposure that you and your band needs! The much-awaited Kaamulan Jam 2009 is part of the Kaamulan Festival 2009 celebration in the Province of Bukidnon, Mindanao, Philippines. And, yes, just in case you’re wondering – this is the same Kaamulan Festival where Ara and Migo met – the character played by Angel Locsin and Piolo Pascual, respectively, in the recent Star Cinema offering, “Love Me Again (Land Down Under):)

Back to Kaamulan Jam 2009 Battle of the Bands – all genres are welcome! Bands will vie for the following amazing prizes:

Top plum: P25,000.00 cash

Third prize: P10,000.00 cash

Two consolation prizes of P5,000.00 cash each

plus, of course, bragging rights and the distinction of being the best band during the Kaamulan Festival 2009

The competition, by the way, IS OPEN TO EVERYONE. It doesn’t matter whether you’re from Bukidnon or from nearby areas (or even from Visayas and Mindanao) – as long as you can register on time and meet the qualifications, you’re eligible to compete.
