How to wear goodness around your wrist and help Davao artisans

by Mindanaoan Irene. 0 Comments

Yes, you read that right. You can wear goodness around your wrist and help trained artisans from Davao City, Mindanao at the same time!

All of that is possible with Kaayo wristlets. These special, handmade Kaayo wristlets are results of a livelihood program that aims to empower individuals through productive diligence.

Kaayo is the Visayan word for goodness, beauty and generosity. And with every Kaayo wristlet bought and worn, not only are you reminded of the power of generosity and goodness but you’re also supporting trained artisans of the 1st District of Davao City. The Dabawenyo artisans were trained under the mentorship of Adorno designer Cuy Legazpi.

Look at this super pretty Kaayo wristlet sent to me by Marga, the beautiful better half of Davao City First District Congressman Karlo Nograles :) Isn’t it lovely?

Prices for these lovely handmade Kaayo wristlets start at only Php 120.00. Very, very affordable! These Kaayos make for wonderful gifts and can even be considered simple yet eye-catching body jewelry pieces, don’t you think so?

Thank you very much Marga! Will definitely purchase more Kaayo wristlets! <3

Buy Kaayo wristlets at Villa Margarita along JP Laurel Avenue, Davao City. Call (082) 221 5674. You can also buy your Kaayos at Sun Lab Gaisano Mall Davao City. For those who want to buy in bulk, please call Villa Margarita or you can send me a message. Please use this CONTACT FORM. Thank you!

Watsons Opens 308th Store In Centrio Mall CDO @AyalaCentrio

      by Mindanaoan Irene. 0 Comments

Watsons has opened its 308th store in the Philippines and it’s located in Mindanao :) Watsons Centrio Mall, which was formally opened to the public last November 9, 2012 (the very same day Centrio Ayala Mall also opened its doors), is the latest addition to the growing Watsons Philippines family. And Mindanaoan is very lucky to be one of the invited guests! Check out the invitation I received. I also wrote about Watsons Centrio Mall in an earlier post.

The Ayala Centrio Mall branch of Watsons brings the Watsons brand of beauty and wellness to a city noted for its accessibility, business growth and tourism attractions; making shopping convenient, enjoyable and more affordable.

Plus here’s an additional fun fact: Watsons Centrio Mall is the very first Watsons store to have the latest design! How’s that for cool?

Here are just a few of the photos I took during the Watsons Centrio branch opening :)

At Watsons Centrio Ayala Mall, shoppers are welcomed with the store’s modern, spacious, and well-lit interiors, with lifestyle visuals, giving the area a sophisticated and contemporary look. What’s more, shopping is made more convenient as Watsons products are presented using modern fixtures, arranged per zone and properly labeled by category to help shoppers easily find what they are looking for.

Watsons offers a complete range of health, wellness, personal care, cosmetics, skin care, fragrances, beauty accessories etc. Watsons Centrio Mall also offers an exclusive Men’s Zone, as well as an attractive Cosmetics area, where customers can try the latest products and get beauty advice from the accommodating shopping assistants. The new store at Centrio Ayala Mall also houses a Pharmacy section with well-trained pharmacists that provide helpful health advice and free BP check.

Visit Watsons at the 2nd floor of Centrio Mall, Cagayan de Oro City.

Thank you Watsons Philippines for the invitation and thanks to my friends from both the traditional media and blogging communities who accommodated my invitation to also come and cover the event.

If you want Mindanaoan to also cover your event or write about your store, business, shop, cafe, restaurant etc – please feel free to use this CONTACT FORM. Thanks :)
