Our Pambansang Kamao, world boxing champ Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao, recently guested over at Jimmy Kimmel Live! Jimmy Kimmel Live! is a late night talk show aired over at ABC in the U.S. and hosted by…who else…funny man Jimmy Kimmel himself.
I was able to watch Manny Pacquiao’s interview on Jimmy Kimmel Live! via a video sent to me by a friend in the U.S. If you want to check out the transcription I made, check out my Twitter account for my blow-by-blow account
In my opinion, Filipino boxing champ Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao had a good time — in fact, he never stopped smiling and laughing all throughout the interview!
Pacman also shared fun statements during the interview. He said things like he has a dog named Pacman, his superhero character “Wapakman” has a lot of superpowers, that he has more than 30 people in his entourage (hoowow! IKR?) and that each of his “employees” have their own assignments (one is designated to cook, another one is designated to wash his clothes etc). Fellow Mindanaoan Manny Pacquiao also said that he has 8 people living with him in his apartment in Los Angeles, California.
Pacman also sang a song during his Jimmy Kimmel Live guesting, by the way. Thanks to fellow Twitter user heidologies, here’s a video clip of Manny Pacman Pacquiao singing his heart out on American TV:
Can’t help but wonder if Manny’s wife Jinkee Pacquiao and their children were able to watch the guesting live or at least via satellite.
Meanwhile, the highly anticipated boxing match between Filipino pound-for-pound king Manny Pacquiao and Puerto Riccan welterweight titleholder Miguel Cotto will push through on November 14, 2009 at MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Mark your calendars! Mindanao pride Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao will definitely face off with 28 year old Puerto Rican boxer Miguel Cotto on November 14, 2009 at MGM Grand Las Vegas Nevada. Miguel Cotto is the current welterweight titleholder while our very own Filipino boxing champ Pacman won the boxing junior welterweight title this year after beating down Briton Ricky Hatton. As we Pinoys all know, Hatton lucked out after only two rounds.
Mindanaoan and General Santos City’s son Manny Pacquiao and Miguel Cotto have reportedly agreed on a 145 pounds weight limit. The Pacquiao versus Cotto fight will be shown via HBO Pay Per View, according to Top Rank promoter Bob Arum.
I think I’ll avail of our local cable TV company’s offer of PPV access again. After all, nothing beats watching a Pacquiao fight live!
