HOT-STAR Philippines: Taiwan’s Large Fried Chicken in Manila @HotStarPH

So if you read somewhere that one of Taiwan’s most famous chicken chop places has finally opened a branch in Manila and that for only Php110, you get a fried chicken so large that it’s even bigger than your face (!!!), you just have to go try and see for yourself, right? 😀 That’s exactly what my brother and I did when we were in Manila – we satisfied our curiosity and paid Hot-Star Philippines a visit!

Hot-Star Large Fried Chicken, located at Blue Bay Walk, Macapagal Avenue corner EDSA, Pasay City, is a fastfood, sit-down restaurant that offers affordable meals. Of course, the “star” of their menu is the large fried chicken – and they weren’t kidding when they said “large.” Hot-Star’s fried chicken is 30 cm long – big enough for 2 to 3 people to share!

Placing an order is pretty easy and straightforward. After choosing from the menu and paying for your order, you’ll be given a number. When your number is called, get your tray containing your order.

We tried the original large fried chicken (Php110) and the crispy large fried chicken (Php110). Since my brother and I wanted to try each other’s orders, we shared. I liked the original Hot Star large fried chicken. The chicken tasted fresh and the meat was juicy. We also had blue lemonade. We got gravy from the condiments counter.

As you can see, the Hot-Star large fried chicken chops are REALLY HUGE. Definitely worth your money! If you can’t finish your meal, however, you can always bring the leftover home. In our case, I took the remaining half of my chicken and made it my snack 😀

Looking for the restaurant may be quite a challenge especially for those who aren’t familiar with Blue Bay Walk. Best tip I can give is that follow the road leading towards SM Mall of Asia (EDSA), turn right at Macapagal Drive and start looking for the Blue Bay Walk signage on the RIGHT.

Enjoy and let me know how your Hot Star Large Fried Chicken Philippines experience went!
