Mindanaoan – Mindanao blog to undergo changes; will also launch a blog contest

Hi everyone! Hello to all the readers of Mindanaoan! Just a very quick post to let you all know that starting today, this blog by a Mindanaoan will undergo some changes. I will change this blog’s look as days go by and I will also be incorporating as many possible WordPress plugins as possible. I’ve also recently “re-activated” my Twitter account (I used to be a Twitter addict LOL but thankfully I’ve got things under control haha) so I’ll check out if I can include my updates in my new blog theme, too.
Before I forget — Mindanaoan (Blogging the REAL Mindanao!) – Blog Sa Usa Ka Taga Mindanao – recently turned ONE! Yep, this blog just turned one year old! How fast time flies, eh? Parang kailan lang…I wanted to start a blog that would center on Mindanao events, Mindanao issues and commentaries, Mindanao jobs and even photos of Mindanao. I started this blog with the prime objective of letting the world know what the REAL Mindanao is, who the REAL Mindanaoans are and what living here in Mindanao really is like. I’m hoping I’ve achieved at least part of that goal in the last 12 months.
Also, to celebrate this blog’s first anniversary, I’m planning to launch a “unique” blog contest in the next few days. I’m thinking it shouldn’t be the run-off-the-mill blog contest. I want it to be different and I want to infuse the essence of community service or social service. Anyways, I’ll talk about this more in the next few days so please stay tuned.
