When we think of Dahilayan Adventure Park in Manolo Fortich, Bukidnon, we most likely equate it to Zipzone a.k.a. Asia’s longest dual cable zipline, Dropzone, my favorite Python 3D zipline and the thrilling 8-storey Sky Tower Base Jump. However, the place known as “Mindanao’s playground” also offers something pretty special – a chance to stay at 4,500 feet above sea level, in a log house-inspired manor situated among pine trees and amid chilly, sweater weather.
Pinegrove Mountain Lodge, located just a few steps away from the main entrance of Dahilayan Adventure Park, offers value-for-money accommodation, good amenities and delicious food.
My family and I recently had a staycation at Pinegrove – and it was a staycation we all loved. We availed of the Family Room. Priced at Php 5,000, our room had 6 single beds, each with two fluffy pillows, 1 sofa bed and ensuite bathroom. There were also 6 sets of toiletries in the comfort room. The spacious family room also had an airconditioning unit but we had to turn it off late in the evening because the weather turned really very cold!

Which reminds me – the weather is, in my opinion, Pinegrove’s biggest drawer. During our stay, we experienced a very foggy afternoon. Perfect for those hashtag emote pictorials. The evening was, as earlier mentioned, pretty cold. The next day, I woke up early to catch the sunrise. Needless to say, it was a picture that’s now etched in my mind.
Pinegrove Bukidnon hotel also offers other room types: Suite, Standard, Deluxe, Family Loft and Dormitory (4 double deck beds). Published rates begin at Php 2,800. This price is for the standard room that has 1 queen size bed and 1 twin bed (with free set breakfast for two people). By the way, here’s a tip – stay at Pinegrove during February, when the cold weather reaches its peak!
Food served at the Pinegrove restaurant is delicious and reasonably priced. Try the baby back ribs and shrimp sinigang. For breakfast, try their set meals. It’s the perfect way to start your day!
